Bentham, Edward An introduction to moral philosophy Oxford  1745

Bentham, Edward. An introduction to moral philosophy. Oxford: printed at the Theatre; for James Fletcher; and sold by M. Senex (London); and W. Thurlbourn (Cambridge), 1745. (8), 109 pp. 8vo, disbound. First edition. An early work by a fellow of Oriel College, Oxford, who later became a professor of divinity. Bentham acknowledges a substantial debt to the ideas of Locke; his text was aimed at students, and includes a long list of specific topics, with recommended reading for each. "A clear summary of contemporary discussions." -- Oxford DNB. Faint waterstain in the lower margins, but a very good copy.
