First edition of this rare work, in which the author presents his astronomical system, along with a set of tables based upon Kepler's Rudolphine Tables, but centred on Paris. These are the 'Tables Richeliennes'; the work is dedicated to Cardinal Richelieu.
Duret (1590- ca 1650) was appointed by Richelieu astronomer and cosmographer to the king. He wrote several astronomical books.
