First edition of this collection of mining and mineralogical literature. The first part is a German translation of Christoph Entzelt's De re metallica, 1551, a treatise on minerals, gems, fossils, salts and earths, including their medical uses. It is one of the most important early treatises on minerals and fossils. The second part is Ein alter Tractat von Erkäntnuss der Klüffte und Gänge, auch unterschiedener dess Gesteins Güte, on metal-bearing veins and fissures. The third part is Johann Deucer's Metallicorum corpis juris oder Berg-Recht, an assembly of mining laws. The fourth part is Ursprung und Ordnungen der Bergwerke, a history of mining and mining laws in Bohemia, Saxony, Austria, Brunswick and Lüneburg, Hohenstein and Scandinavia. The fifth part is Abraham von Schönberg's Aussführliche Berg-Information, samt denen ... gebrüachlichen Redens-Arten, including a dictionary of mining, mineralogical, and metallurgical terms.
