Eminent example for the bookart of Art Deco. Masterly binding by René Kieffer, one of the most important binders of the Art Deco. The illustrations by Jessie Marion King, a representative of the Glasgow School of Art Nouveau, shows the influence by Brune-Jones and Beardsley. One of 550 numbered copies of the first illustrated edition and first French translation of the Kipling story printed in Actions and Reactions, London 1909.
