22,5 : 14,5 cm. 48 unnumbered leaves. with title- and end-vignette, initials from Holbeins little death-alphabet and each page framed by a wide ornamental border, all in woodcut. Bound in contemporary cloth with blind-stamping, spine gilt, title on spine and board gilt.

"Trés rare et epuisée" (Slg. Oppermann 1165). Privately printed only in an small edition. Beautiful unity of text and illustrations. Each page surrounded by a wide woodcut-border with different illustrations of dance of death. With early lyric which does not appear in the English and Italian editions. Printed by Didot Fréres. - A mint copy. - Minns 287.
