Very rare first edition of the first Italian work on the integral calculus which sums up all the knowledge of the time on the subject and contains also numerous new discoveries made by the author. By this work Gabriele Manfredi who was, like his brother Eustachio, a distinguished professor of mathematics at Bologna University, became known throughout Europe. Smith, Hist. of Maths, I, 512.
