First edition of a work which is considered, together with the one by Capriglia, the best on clocks in 17th century Italy. Martinelli describes four types of clocks which work either by water, sand, air or heat, and the treatise is also noteworthy for the good illustrations. Vinciana, Aut. Ital. del '600, 1668.
