Very rare first edition of «Charles' fourth book for children, dealing with the nomenclature and cultivation of fruit -trees» (Schreiber 61). It gives a detailed account of a large variety of trees including citrus fruits, olives, figs, nutmeg, pistacia, etc. The 19 pp. of indices are in Latin and French. Adams S-1742. Durling 1399.
