First and only edition of a rare controversy on the extirpation of the spleen, not registered by any of our bibliographies. The author, physician at Jesi and Ancona, quotes different opinions amongst which those of Fabricius ab Aquapendente and Cardanus and describes various attempts at the operation emphasizing its dangers.
