First edition of The Flight of Time, the most complete collection of Akhmatova’s poems published during her lifetime. It includes most of the poems from the collections Reed (written 1924–40), and Seventh Book (1936–64), neither of which was ever published as a separate book. A few of these poems had appeared in severely censored collections of Akhmatova’s poems in 1940, 1958 and 1961, but the majority are published here for the first time.
