Fine copy of one of the most important travellers of XVII century.le Brun departed from Holland in 1701 to Archangel.After short stay he went to Moscow where he lived a year.in 1703 started trip from Moscow to Persia where first stayed one year at Isfahan and 3 monthes at Persepolis taking drawings of the Cuneiform inscriptions and reliefs.Finally departed to Dutch Indies in 1705 and return to Holland in 1708.Le Brun is also well known for his travel to the Levant published some years later and largely illustrated
