Armorial binding in contemporary red morocco, tooled in gilt, with the arms of Cardinal de Bouzy archbishop of Narbonne, pastepaper guards, elegant engraved ex-libris "E. De Payan Dumoulin, President du Tribunal du Puy." Some wear, lower joints tender.This book was dedicated to "Madame la Chanceliere" by the printer, Pierre le Petit. Dedications to women in this period were not common.
