Bologna, Gio. Rossi, 1581 (1579) Small folio in 4s: with six folding plates, Rossi's fine woodcut Mercury device on title-page, numerous engraved and woodcut illustrations in the text. Contemporary limp vellum, lacks ties, small chips to spine, slit in one leaf but a very attractive copy in its first binding. Second edition which in fact is a reissue of the sheets of the first with a new title-page and Letter to the Reader. After the final imprint there is the addition of the anonymous Dubitationi and the author's replies. Riccardi I, col.240 - 'bella edizione'.
