Leiden: J. du Vivie & T. Haak, [1716]. The very rare catalogue -- no copy in OCLC or SCIPIO -- of the library of Daniel Desmarets (1635-1714), Dutch Protestant writer. He formed a large and important library (over 10,000 lots) which was particularly rich in natural history books. On pages 652-56 is listed "Catalogus van een Curieus Cabinet van Animalia, Insecta, &c. in liquor hangende" to be sold on the 21st of May (corrected by hand to the 8th of July). Very good copy. Clean tear to KK3, touching six lines but without loss.
