& jours suivans, Rue Vildot. viii, 639 (i.e. 631) pp. 8vo, cont. red morocco, spines panelled in gilt within a triple gilt fillet, floral devices in each corner, spine richly gilt, red morocco lettering pieces on spine. Paris: Barrois, 1753. A very fine and large copy, with many edges uncut, attractively bound in contemporary English red morocco. Priced throughout in a contemporary hand. This is the rare auction catalogue of the large library (9935 lots) of Giraud de Moucy. Archer Taylor, in his Book Catalogues (p. 55n) wisely points out that the present catalogue is another "example of the utility of early catalogues in identifying a book that has escaped more recent bibliographers." For example, lot 9578 lists the 1721 catalogue of the library at Orléans, references to which are not to be found in the more obvious bibliographies. Includes MSS. Bookplate of De la Germonière.
