Paris: G. de Bure, 1786. The uncommon sale catalogue of the Le Camus de Limare collection, "one of the first important catalogues of a library of books on natural science."Taylor, Book Catalogues, p. 137. There are about 750 lots of natural history -- including all the great books and many of the rarities -- and also smaller but interesting sections on medicine, chemistry, astronomy, etc. 1812 lots in all. The fine Freilich copy with the scarce author index of 26 pages but lacking, as is usual, the printed price list which was issued after the sale. However, this is not important because the present copy has been priced throughout in a contemporary hand.
