Sixth of at least twelve editions, with illustrations steel-engraved from photographs. Ferguson records only the Oxley Library copy.
The Marquis de Beauvoir arrived in Melbourne in 1866, and toured in Victoria, Tasmania and New South Wales, before heading for Malaya by way of the Barrier Reef and Torres Strait. He includes particularly good material on the Victorian goldfields, especially around Ballarat and Bendigo.
