JOHANNES Chrysostomus. In euangelium Sancti Matthaei breuis enarratio, nunc primum in lucem edita. Eiusdem homiliae tres postremae in Matthaeum, hactenus tam graecè quam latinè desideratae. Christophoro Serrarigo interprete, Venice, apud Plinium Petramsanctam, 1554

8vo . 232ff. Woodcut device on title-page, a few large initials, 2 lines very lightly scored through by a contemporary hand, in contemporary limp vellum.

FIRST EDITION of Serrarigo's translation of Chrysostom's commentary on Matthew's gospel, with the three homilies at the end appearing for the first time according to the translator. An attractive publication, as is the case with most of Pietrasanta's work, it is dedicated to Giovanni della Casa, Bishop of Benevento, better known for his poetry and especially for his Galateo.
