4to. 68ff. Woodcut device and library stamp on title-page, numerous woodcut coats-of-arms in the text, many of those in part 1 (the prelates) in red and black, historiated initials and tailpieces, a few inner margins gently reinforced, in nineteenth century quarter roan with vellum corners.

Only edition of this important Bolognese armorial, the first part of which deals with and illustrates the arms of prelates, religious lay officers and governors of the city, the second Bolognese noblemen and the third illustrious commoners of Bologna. The third part is perhaps the most interesting as it lists doctors of law, artists, doctors of medicine, philosophers, military officers and senators.
