An interesting document, issued by the provisional government, regulating imports and exports into and out of the Duchy of Parma with a separate tariff for goods in transit on the river Po. Curiously one of the items that attracted the highest duty was for human hair. The document is subscribed at the end (in print) by the Secretary General of the Provisional Regency, GIUSEPPE DE-LAMA, later to achieve renown for his biography of Bodoni.
