FINETTI, Mario. Ad Aloysium Balbium, oratorem celeberrimum. Carmen, [Venice, no printer, c.1575].

4to. 4ff. Large woodcut device on title-page, a few light spots, in nineteenth century boards.

An extremely rare funereal poem in hexameters on the death of the lawyer Alvise Balbi by an author who seems not to have published any other works (nor, incidentally, are there any extant works by Balbi). The device which portrays the winged Perseus holding the Gorgon's head is not illustrated in Zappella.
Proto-Censimento locates only the copy at the Marciana; not in BMC, Adams or NUC.
