4to. 11ff. (of 12, lacks the final blank). Woodcut royal arms on title-page, fore-margin of A2 shaved with loss of seven letters, last three leaves browned, in modern quarter vellum.

A poem in Latin hexameters celebrating the birth of Ferdinand, son of Philip II, who died in infancy. Fabio Giordano (born 1539 or 1540) was something of a polymath, being well-versed in Latin and Greek, having an excellent knowledge of plants and medicinal herbs, achieving success in law (becoming a fine orator), poetry and antiquity and also an expert transcriber of lombard texts.
