A very rare poem by an obscure Venetian poet addressed to the doge Sebastian Venier, the great hero at the Battle of Lepanto. He was doge for only two years, 1576-1578 and died, it is said, of a broken heart after the almost total destruction by fire of the Ducal Palace.Censimento CNCE 441 (2 copies only); not in Cicogna, Soranzo, BMC, Adams or RLIN.
