8vo. 72ff. First 2 leaves strengthened at the margins, in eighteenth century sprinkled sheep, gilt spine, slightly rubbed.
One of three editions in 1516 of this popular little work, a coarse satire, written in 1355, on a Florentine widow who had jilted Boccaccio. The work is prefaced with a short letter by Bernardino Giunta, the son of the printer, to 'Gli amatori della lingua toscana' in which he states that he has been so diligent in emending and editing the text that Boccaccio himself could not have done better.Censimento B2381; Bacchi della Lega p.117; Gamba 203; Adams B2179; not in BMC
