AN APPARENTLY UNRECORDED EDITION of a not uncommon work (ten editions are listed by Copac) of Charles V’s contribution (and, according to him, in conjunction with the pope) to the reformation of the clergy with chapters on schools and universities, hospitals for the poor and pilgrims, synods and excommunication. The preface is signed and dated, Augsburg, 9 July 1548.
