Covers decoratively bordered in blind with a large woodcut embossed on the front cover and the William Caxton device embossed on the rear cover, spine lettered in gilt with five raised bands, marbled endpapers, edges stained red. Small expert repair at bottom of rear joint. Otherwise a fine copy. With the armorial bookplates of John Rhodes (on the front pastedown) and Samuel L. Nussey (on the front free endpaper).
