This edition is basing on the author's original manuscript. Thietmar's chronicle is considered to be one of the most important historical works of the late 11th century.New fly-leaves and end-papers. Restored tear to 1 leaf (some letters of 6 lines touched). Underlinings and handwritten entries by an old hand in ink, newer ones in pencil. Throughout with light browning (due to the paper), title more intensively. Last leaf with restored marginal paper defects, minor spotting. Otherwise a well preserved copy.
