Stamps of Apprentices Library. , First edition of one of the author's earliest works devoted to the investigations and theory of sound. Much of the material is compiled from other authors, including John Herschel, Wheatstone, Faraday, Breschnet, Charles Bell, Willis and Rush, with additional material partially rewritten and original remarks by Peirce. This book is also valuable for the fifty page catalogue of works relating to sound.
