FIRST EDITION., Two volumes. 8vo., cxxxiv, 231; [viii], 288 pp., plus 4 pages publisher’s advertisements before the title in Volume I.
Publisher’s cloth, front cover detached and spine unglued on Volume I. From the library of John Farquhar Fulton, with his book-label in both books., First edition. According to Osler, the second volume is made up of unsold sheets of The Bride’s Tragedy and Death’s Jest-Book, which Pickering first issued separately, but as it did not sell well it was included in this collected edition. However, the latter was apparently missing from both Osler’s and the Bodleian copy.
