Koch had to work in limited surroundings, often using living quarters. for his research. In 1880 he was appointed as a member of the Imperal Health Bureau where he refined his methods of staining and culture of patholgenic bacteria for study of disease. It was with these refined techniques that Koch used to discover the tubercle bacillus as well as grow it in pure culture.
First appearance of discorvery of the bacterial (tubercle bacillus) cause of tuberculosis with Koch's postulates, conditions whichmust be satisfied before it can be accepted that particular bacteria cause particular diseases. (Garrison-Morison, 2331).
